The perspective I've gotten out of this article is that neither of them actually ever talked about what relationship they were in. Neither of the two ever asked eachother what it was excatly they were doing with eachother. With the lack of communication, Elaine felt completely different from what Roger was feeling. It is obviously that Elaine wants more with Roger but she does not know how to go about it. Without talking to eachother about their relationship, it cause Elaine to become confused at what was going on between her and Roger. She felt as if Roger was not interested and from Roger's perspective, everything was going fine and normal.
